About me
From Concept to Install — Built, Managed, Delivered
I lead projects that translate creative ideas into physical environments, with a focus on fabrication, logistics, and execution at scale. My experience includes managing global production networks, aligning design with real-world constraints, and driving projects from early concept through final installation. With a background that blends technical production and project management, I bring both structure and adaptability to complex builds.
Who Am I
My background started in fine arts at Pratt Institute, but I quickly gravitated toward the mechanics behind the work—how ideas become objects. That interest evolved into a career in fabrication, production, and project leadership, working across disciplines and global teams. Today, I focus on advancing fabrication systems and processes, helping deliver complex builds with precision and efficiency.

Dimitrios Spiridonakos
Interdisciplinary fabrication leader specializing in the translation of experimental design into scalable physical systems. Proven experience directing advanced digital fabrication workflows—spanning robotic milling, CNC machining, 3D scanning, modeling, prototyping, and installation—across artistic, commercial, and research-driven contexts. Adept at bridging design, engineering, materials, and production to deliver technically rigorous and materially innovative outcomes.
Pratt Institute — Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA)
Major: Computer-Aided Drafting & Sculpture
High-level robotic milling, fabrication, and finishing facility specializing in large-scale sculptural and architectural works.
Gained deep hands-on experience across traditional sculptural methods and cutting-edge digital manufacturing, enabling seamless translation between analog craft and automated production.
Progressed through technical and leadership roles within an advanced fabrication environment focused on robotic and multi-axis milling, digital modeling, and experimental material processing.
Led the fabrication of large-scale sculptural works for internationally recognized artists, now held in major museums, galleries, and private collections.
Directed end-to-end digital fabrication pipelines, including 3D scanning, CAD modeling, toolpath authoring, robotic 7-axis milling, and precision finishing.
Managed fabrication teams ranging from 30+ technicians on major builds to solo execution on high-risk, high-complexity components.
Collaborated with external research and technology partners including academic institutions and industrial R&D teams to advance fabrication techniques and tooling strategies.
Conducted extensive global research into tools, machines, and craft knowledge, sourcing unconventional equipment and expertise across the U.S. and Europe to enable novel fabrication approaches.
Design, fabrication, and installation studio delivering large-scale physical environments and product systems.
Author and review technical drawings, specifications, and production documentation to ensure fidelity from design through execution.
Lead the technical development and fabrication strategy for complex, multi-million-dollar physical rollouts and installations deployed globally.
Act as the primary interface between design teams, engineers, fabricators, and vendors, translating conceptual intent into buildable, repeatable fabrication systems.
Oversee digital modeling, prototyping, material selection, fabrication workflows, quality control, logistics, and installation for large-scale physical systems.
Develop and refine scalable production pipelines across geographically distributed vendors to ensure consistency, performance, and sustainability.
Troubleshoot fabrication challenges across materials, tolerances, assemblies, and site conditions—often under compressed timelines and high visibility.
Maintain and evolve a global network of specialized vendors and fabrication partners, from advanced material suppliers to highly specialized craft and industrial facilities.
